PICTURE OF THE DAY
Two Vogue models pose on the Tudor City Bridge. It is 1958. On the left, Woodstock Tower. Across the street, the brick-colored building is the Hospital for Special Surgery, the oldest orthopedic hospital in the nation. This was its fourth Manhattan location, and when it arrived here in 1912, it was called the Hospital for the Ruptured and Crippled (the name change came in 1940). Today it's the site of the Ford Foundation.
